Some people may remember Gus Worland as the larrikin radio host from Triple - M Sydney. (He quit at the end of 2019)
But away from the microphone, the funnyman does his part in raising awareness for an all-too-important cause.
After losing a friend to suicide, the presenter and author created Gotcha 4 Life - a foundation aiming to reduce suicide rates in men and boys
"We lose six beautiful Aussie blokes every single day and two beautiful women as well to suicide," Worland said.
"It's the number one way to lose your life if you're an Australian male between the ages of 15 to 44.
"We've got a massive problem in this country, and we need to get the emotional muscle to have that conversation - to tell people when things are getting tough."
Focus on school kids
Gotcha 4 Life funds sustainable educational workshops and training programmes to support mental health in communities across Australia.
"We reach around 25,000 school kids every year, and we're saying to them, it's okay to not be okay," Worland said.
"Men find it very hard to take that mask off - and very, very hard to show any vulnerability. And that's what we need to do.
"I think the awareness is there, but I don't think we're doing enough to deal with it properly.
"Just like every kid should do Maths, English and Science, they should be doing something on wellness. It should be part of the national curriculum."
The foundation has also worked with some big-name 'blokes' to help promote the cause - from Hugh Jackman and Wendell Sailor to Steve Smith.
"Steve Smith actually rang the radio station and said he'd like to get involved," Worland said.
"He did so many schools for us, and there were young boys sitting there like sponges looking at Steve Smith, hearing that it's okay to cry and show vulnerability.
"You can't tell me that's not going to help kids move forward."
“If there's one thing that I've learnt, the manly thing to do is to put your hand up and say 'I've got a problem'.” - Gus
Gus was also behind the Man up TV series that launched the it's ok to cry viral video
