Bald men are perceived as more attractive and masculine, says study.

Bald and successful: Study claims bald men are more attractive.

What do Jason Statham, Jeff Bezos and Bruce Willis have in common?

01/Bald and successful: Study claims bald men are more attractive

They are extremely successful—Statham and Willis are Hollywood superstars and Bezos, one of the richest man in the world, is the founder of Amazon—and bald.

In fact, there is something about being bald that is making men embrace their hairless state without any cosmetic enhancement like wearing a wig.

Maybe, they finally realised that lack of hair does not mean lack of attractiveness or masculinity. In fact, multiple studies have proved that bald is now beautiful!

02 Bald men are bigger and stronger:

According to a study conducted at the University of Pennsylvania, bald men are believed to be more dominant and successful by people around them.

Scientist Albert E. Mannes, who is bald himself, recorded the reactions of people who were shown a series of pictures of men. The participants were shown the picture of one man twice—once with a full head of hair and then with his hair shaved off. All the respondents admitted that they found men with a shaved head to be ‘more dominant, bigger and stronger’.

03/Bald men are also seen as more intelligent

Psychologist Ronald Henss of the University of Saarland conducted a global research involving more than 20,000 subjects. As per his research, bald men are perceived to be, older, more intelligent and wiser. 04 Partially bald men are not attractive

However, men with patterned baldness, unlike their completely bald brothers, are far from being attractive. Participants of the same study conducted at the University of Saarland said that they found partially-bald men or men with bald spots less attractive and were perceived weaker as compared to completely bald men.

05 Are bald men more sexually potent? Earlier, people had this misconception that bald men are more sexually potent because baldness is associated with high levels of testosterone, which is a primary male sex hormone.

But scientists had proved otherwise. Hair loss is not directly caused by testosterone but by a hormone called dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is a derivative product of testosterone.

06 Men are embracing their baldness It is quite encouraging to see men now embracing their baldness. “I started losing hair when I was 23. At first, it really made me very self-conscious and also the many negative societal connotations related to baldness made me try out different salves and treatments to cure my receding hairline.

However, I realised that my hair will never regrow and I slowly started accepting my baldness. And it happened at a time when stars like Jason Stratham and Vin Diesel were slowly becoming everyone’s heartthrobs.

It made me feel very comfortable and confident as well,” said Ashuman Das, a government employee.

07 Don’t let your partner feel uncomfortable for his baldness So, next time you catch your husband or boyfriend fretting over his receding hairline, just share this good news with him.

Tell him how people around the globe find bald man highly attractive and considers them to be more intelligent than other men who have a full head of hair.

Bald is now beautiful and is a symbol of success as well, isn’t it?
