MARK WAHLBERG WAKES UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT SO HE CAN WORK OUT BEFORE STARTING HIS DAY

Mark Wahlberg is a busy man: He’s a successful actor, a father of four, and an entrepreneur, including being a partner in Wahlburgers restaurant chain and the owner of a car dealership.

But as co-founder of workout supplement company Performance Inspired, it’s no wonder he often shares his workouts on Instagram. And his routine is impressive; it has him up at 2:30 a.m. for an hour-and-a-half gym session that starts before 4 a.m.

“Tomorrow I’m getting up at 2:30, in the gym by 3:30, finish about 5:30, go to work 7:30,”

This is what his day looks like:

2:30 a.m.: wake up

2:45 a.m. pray

3:15 a.m.: breakfast — “I start out with steel oats, peanut butter, blueberries, and eggs for breakfast,” Wahlberg says in a video. “Then I have a protein shake — Performance Inspired Nutrition Vanilla Latte Shake — three turkey burgers, five pieces of sweet potato.”

3:40 to 5:15 a.m.: work out. The actor has posted videos of himself doing reverse lunges, vertical presses and overhead presses for weight training.

5:30 a.m.: post-workout meal

Wahlberg is just as disciplined when it comes to when he eats.

“I probably won’t eat a meal until – last meal today [was] 6, so tomorrow probably noontime,” Wahlberg explained.

This isn’t the first time Wahlberg has opened up about his tough fitness routine. While Wahlberg routinely posts videos and photographs from his workouts on social media, he went into greater depth about his routine when he released his daily itinerary in 2018.

He said that his normal day consists of two exercises, four meals, three snacks, and a cryotherapy session in a screenshot posted on his Instagram profile.

Fellow fitness aficionado and star of the big screen Channing Tatum admitted you basically “have to starve yourself” to achieve the abs he has in the male stripper franchise, Magic Mike.

“It’s hard to look like that. Even if you do work out, to be that kind of in shape is not natural,” Tatum said.

“That’s not even healthy. You have to starve yourself. I don’t think when you’re that lean, it’s actually healthy.”

The process is so intense that Tatum stated he was hesitant to take on the third installment of the franchise, and that he had to avoid bloating by resisting all salt before appearing on camera. He also claimed that the ultra-slim look doesn’t endure very long.

“Why — when it takes like, I don’t know, two months to get really lean — in three days, you can lose it?” Tatum said. “It’s gone. I was like, ‘What happened?’”
