MAXIM Australia announces Delta Goodrem the winner of the Maxim 2020 Hot 100

MAXIM Australia magazine has announced Delta Goodrem as their winner of the 2020 ULTRA TUNE MAXIM AUSTRALIA HOT 100

The songstress, actress and TV personality landed the top spot after a process which involved the MAXIM team scouring through readers’ feedback via the magazine’s email, social media and online platforms informing the magazine of their favourite Australian women over the last 12 months.

In a year which saw the world practically shutdown with the coronavirus, Goodrem’s career continued to sparkle in 2020. The judge/mentor on channel nine’s The Voice not only released a new single in “Solid Gold”, from her forthcoming album, but Global Citizen – together with Lady Gaga – reached out and invited her to perform as part of the online One World: Together At Home festival, in support of the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization. Goodrem also co-hosted the Music From The Home Front live music event, performing “Down Under” with Men At Work’s Colin Hay, and her Bunkerdown Sessions allowed her to stay connected with fans around the world.

Moreover, she launched the Delta Goodrem Foundation, which focuses on spreading kindness, hope and support for those facing illness, hardship and inequality, and she also partnered with St Vincent’s Hospital on cellular therapy research for cancer treatment.

When asked how she felt about landing the top spot in the 2020 Ultra Tune MAXIM HOT 100, Delta said, “I feel incredibly thankful. This is a great era of my life and a wonderful honour to receive. I am grateful to be listed alongside so many other terrific individuals who are beautiful inside and out.”

Joining Goodrem on the list is last year’s winner Margot Robbie and fellow local actresses making big waves in Hollywood – Samara Weaving, Sarah Snook and Elizabeth Debicki – as well as sports stars Sam Kerr and Ash Barty, comediennes Celeste Barber and Rebel Wilson, singer Jessica Mauboy, wildlife champ Bindi Irwin and many, many more.
