What it’s like to get a penis enlargement.

A man who underwent penis enlargement surgery has revealed what it’s really like.

Thanks to porn, many of us have grown up with a lot of misconceptions about intimacy, including what a “normal” penis looks like.

A lack of self-confidence in this area can lead some to pursue enlargement procedures, like Marcus.

For Marcus, pornography warped his sense of what a “normal” penis should look like and made him feel uncomfortable about his own.

“I always thought I should be bigger, even though I never got complaints, never had issues – just why not? Women can get boob jobs. Why can’t I?” he said in an interview with Men’s Health.

At age 18 or 19, he was looking at options. Surgery involved snipping the suspensory ligament, and is considered risky, controversial and potentially permanently harmful, according to most medical professionals.

Upon more reading, the name of Dr James Elist, an LA-based urologist, kept coming up. He’s the self-proclaimed “pioneer” of penis enlargement surgery.

His patented implant, which goes between the muscle and the skin, was FDA-approved, and the patient doesn’t pick the size, it’s based on what the doctor feels they can do, within reason.

After a quick email Q&A with the doctor, Marcus booked in for a consultation and had the surgery the following day.

His supportive mum even went with him and took care of him afterwards.

“Coming out of anaesthesia was pretty easy for me. There was obviously some tightness. It feels like you have a very strong erection as soon as you come out because it’s full, the skinnis expanding, so it feels a little full down there, a little tight,” Marcus said.

“The worst part was the first time I had to pee. That was horrifying. That part was bad because they pump you full of antibiotics and whatnot. “So, you’re peeing like bright red antibiotics. That part was not pleasant.” What Marcus didn’t realise was that men get erections a lot and plenty in their sleep. The first couple of times after his surgery, it woke him up.

“It feels almost like it wants to burst open, but not bad, not excruciating, pain. I don’t remember even taking any pain meds,” he said.

Sex for the first time was “nerve-racking”, but there was no real loss of sensation, just a fear of tearing the incision.

“You know, you need to go slow the first few times with your wife because she hasn’t experienced that either. So just to be safe. Be careful. Don’t overdo it,” Dr Elist told him.

Marcus gained two inches (a little over 5cm) in girth, about an inch (2.5cm) in length, and a whole lot of confidence.
