The world's first official KFC wedding was held in Queensland over the weekend. Kate and Harrison Cann tied the knot with a finger-licking food truck and Colonel-themed celebrant.
The Queensland couple has tied the knot after winning a wedding through KFC’s wedding service.
Kate and Harrison Cann, from Toowoomba in Queensland, surprised their family and friends with the ceremony.
The 150 guests turned out for the couple’s wedding at the family property, witnessing them say “I do” at a KFC-themed party.
“Our friends and family were stunned when they arrived to find out it was actually our wedding day – and not just any wedding but a KFC wedding!”
Kate and Harrison’s first date was at a KFC, with the groom proposing two years later at Uluru.
The couple won the wedding after entering the fast-food restaurant’s competition.
They created their own version of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme about their love for each other and KFC.
KFC buckets, a wedding cake, a photo booth and a food truck were all provided as part of the competition.
“We’re delighted to see Kate and Harrison get married and celebrate their love for each other over a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken with their nearest and dearest,” KFC Australia CMO Kristi Woolrych said.
